Inspiring words by Distinguished Speakers in IUNC-HR Society Workshop

When it comes to applying for a new job, CV could be just the ticket to get you that initial foot in the door and secure an interview – but to ensure your CV is added to the interview pile rather than thrown straight in the bin is the real test.

To answer these and many more questions, under the auspices of IUNC HR Society, One-Day workshop on Winner CVs; Arts & Science of CVs was conducted at IUNC on December 9, 2012. Mr. Asif Jalees, HR manager Indus Motors, Mr. Sultan Mughal, GM-HR Pepsi Pakistan, and Mr. Salman Virani, Talent Acquisition Manager, Getz Pharma conducted the workshop.

What to write & what not, putting your photo on CV, writing objectives, using colored paper, seconds taken by recruiters to view your CV, how your CV stands out from crowd and many other myths associated with CV writing were explored by the professionals who knew the inside story. “If you don’t brand yourself, someone else will, and the outcome might not be so favorable.”

Students found this workshop extremely stimulating and a great learning experience opening new inroads, especially for freshies. IUNC is grateful to all these speakers for conducting this useful workshop for our students and hopes we all continue to serve the nation in our own domain. In the end all speakers were presented IU Shields.
