The Youth Innovation Challenge (YIC) 2018 was organized by Parhao Sabaq in collaboration with Iqra University North Campus. The objective of YIC is to promote entrepreneurship among youths. The competition was hosted by Iqra University North Campus, and it was open to the students of other universities of Karachi as well.
The competition lasted for a day where 300 students from 10 different universities participated. The students were given case studies based on real life problems of 13 renowned organizations. The student’s core aim was to devise strategies countering the problems faced by the organizations. It was a great learning opportunity for the students where they had to work together and to present their ideas to the organization’s representatives.
Iqra University believes that these type of activities are quintessential in bridging the gap between academia and organizations. What is more the competition will serve as a platform for entrepreneurs of tomorrow
The session culminated on a prize distribution of PKR 100,000 to the winning group of students.
